Super Co’s Fully in the Works!
The Bike is going to be super light and adjustable to be race machine or a freeride hucker. As you know Doc is mastermind behind the TMXs, Racelink, FQs, Park Bikes and any other bike made at Brooklyn Machine Works. If this bike is like any else he has design and built you know its going to be sick. And the best part about it that will available in the Spring of 2009, so hopefully Santa will bless you with a pre-order of one.
A Hidden Gem in Brooklyn
There's some thing I forgot to mention, but it seem the city has built quite another skatepark in Brooklyn, in Gerritsen Beach on Seba Ave. Its been open for some time. Check the link for Photos and videos fo some of the locals.

Big James And Jam Pony, Brooklyn Banks Jam
I didnt hear till last minute, but I made it in time to witness the Brooklyn Banks Jam. It was hosted by Big James and Jam Pony Bicycles located in Harlem. The jam based around the most popular features of the Banks, the stairs, the grind box and the launch ramp. As usua the guys threw down hard to walk with more street cred, fame and pocket cash & prizes.

Two New Skate Park on the Horizon
|
Looks like there will be two new skate park growing in Brooklyn. One as early as next year and the other in 2010. First one, is being to be at Thomas Greene Park, on 3rd Ave & Douglass St., aka, Douglas Pool Park. I'm not sure how long the project has been in the works, but they're get help from the locals skaters and "Homage, Skate Shop." They have received about $900,000 to build the park, which will happen in the next year. Also they are holding a Skate Day at the park this Sunday, Nov. 19, 2008. www.myspace.com/homageskateshop The second park will be in Carnarsie, not too far from Racer's Edge Cycle, at 1970 Rockaway Parkway. The space has been allocated and the budget seems to be the last part before they can start planning and layout blueprints for the park. Once they do, they will be asking the local riders what they would like to see & ride at the park. If you have any questions you should contact Gerald at Racer's Edge Cycles, 718-531-3100 and look here for further info. |
