There's nothing like fresh paint, to give an old bike a new look. I got my 20" early last year, I originally brought it used. The frame was spray painted white, so I stripped the white and painted it black. The color was ok, but it got scratched up after a while and didnt match the bars or fork. The bars were purple and fork was a deeper black than the frame. I stripped the paint off the bars and fork so they could at least match, but I wasnt happy with the results. It look ok if it was a beater, but this bike was no throw away bike. I made the choice of getting a fresh power coating. I really didnt want black, and I needed something to match the grey camo rims and gold hubs. My color choice was Battleship Grey. I think it came out dope, its very neutral looking, with camo rims and gold hubs as accents its going to be a fun bike to kick around this summer. |
