Damm Creeks blows wild monkey balls.  None of that new stuff is difficult at all.  Double diamonds my ass!!!!.  At least they have a real wall ride now, unlike those other weak ones.  Diablows!! is great for nooby dhers but Platty rules hands down.  I'll be taking the extra ride to platt for the rest of the season, fuck that weak shit!

New Wallride??  new to me??!!

They still need to finish the landing if you go all the way to the end of the wall.  You can really go huge on it when they finish it.  It's close to the drop progression area under the lift, by the hip at the bottom of alpine.  It actually makes alpine alot more tech with this monster wall at the bottom waiting to trick people.  You have to mash it with tons of speed.

man, there is really no need to talk shit about diablo.
its something different to ride - you dont like it - dont ride it.
no one thinks you're super tough and awesome just because you have better bike skills then others on this forum.
to me - a shitty bike rider - diablo is PLENTY OF FUN and very challenging at times.
and most of all, its FUN.

"creek sucks" - you're sooooo cool.

Anyone who doesn't like my opinion can eat a dick to be honest with yous.  I've ridden all over the map and Creek is soft as hell, don't think your a badass rider for hitting some weak latter drops. I'll continue to ride anywhere and say anything I want.  Welcome to America!

Do you still have that Reign? Bring it next time. You can hit it all on a short travel bike. I'm heading there tomorrow if you change your mind.

You all know I'll hit all that stuff on my park bike hardtail.  The reign would make it too light and easy.  I brought the 47lbs bike to abuse the hardtail rideres there that couldn't make it on that box stepup.  I'm ranting on Creek because of the bullshit service and stafff I've encountered on many occations up there.  Sure you can have fun there but the staff doesn't give a shit what happens.  Lazlo will break his back to make sure you have a good time on a working lift.

That sucks about the lift. I just read about that.  I miss getting up to Platty more, but I just don't have a full day to throw away anymore for the trip. I can get in and out of Creek pounding out runs for half a day and be home by 3 when my kid wakes up from his nap.

Have you been up to Highland yet? Shooting for an August trip, stuff getting built there looks pretty burly.

Highland looks great, I'm also thinking of a late august trip so we should link up.  Windham nationals are finally here.  I've been telling yous about that spot for years and it's finally openning to bikes, at least for the race.  I know that Mt. like the back of my hand and can bring yous to some wicked drops.  I'll be up there next thursday and saturday.

If you're spend all your time on the half finished groomed lines when you're used to riding gnar DH, I wouldnt expect you to feel challenged. Try the actual DH trails on your park bike and then tell me how crow tastes...

That said, Platty rules. Def a better ride and experience IMO -- plus I can park 50ft from the lift, and I dont have to walk my bike because some hippo =in a 2 piece and her 5 kids want to wander at will around the base area stalking more food to make them bigger.............ramble.............

Trust me I've tried everything Creek has to offer on all types of bikes for many years. That's always been my thing to do dh style hucks on a near rigid single speed, single brake parkbike.

I sometimes forget we have some old school burly riders around. Rob, you, good old super Dave (where's he at)

No doubt Diablo isnt a challenging DH mountain except for a few hairy sections and only if taken with speed, but it is boatloads of fun; Especially with my recently separated shoulder - the smoothy runs are good good good. (Greenhorn to Deviant to the little rainbow jump on salvation is a blast to haul through provided the trail is empty and not littered with noobs)

But this is moot, because I just got off the phone with big Paul (V10) and Im headin up for 2 days of Plattekillin it friday afternoon! Hope I get 1 dry day, but W/E.

I have ridden so little, no Platte since o6! -- Lookin to get srechooled by the carvaliciousnessdroptasticness!! If you're up there, I could use a guide, cuz Jimmy and Paul are doin the race thing and my trail memory sucks (I rip through, then instantly forget where everything is!), but not me! (And Erik, and whoever else I know - all racing.)
