Well - only been out here 2 months, and havent gotten into the whole vibe (havent been out or around much) - But am seriosuly thinking about coming back ASAP.
Only thing is I would need a plcae to stay/ room rent while I looked for work, or while I looked for an Apartment/Roomie if working already....
Any input? Ideas?
I havent really given it that much of a chance out here, but I am inclined to nt change and adapt to this new place - maybe if I had a great paying job I couldnt get elsewhere - anyway - Whistler is cool, NS is cool - but NYC/East riding is getting better and better and I like the crew mentality.
SERIOUSLY - Wat would you do? Would you stay for the access to trails? Or what? I dont wanna jump to it - and maybe I am - I barely know anyone - but I barely know anyone in NYC.
Input guys - serious - no joking here - I need some input!!

you should stay for at least a year, ride everywhere, make new friends, meet new riders...
snowboard like crazy this winter, ride like crazy next summer and if u still feel like it, come back next september. Anyway who am I to say that, I don't have the balls to leave NYC. But if I had no choice and had to live in Seattle, that's what I would do.
To me NYC is like a freakin girlfriend. u love it and hate it at the same time. When u here, u wanna go somewhere else and when u're elsewhere, u wish u could come back asap.

Thanks for the input - and for taking it seriosuly. I think I will do just that and give it a year - what can it hurt! Even if I do come back - the original point was to get perspective on alot of things, including NYC.
I am still itching to jump on a plane and come back, but I will take it a step at a time. This came up because I am finally starting to look seriously for a job as I am on unemployment - and I felt like why not just look back in NYC.
Any more input from others still welcome - I guess I have to put SOME effort into life and not just float along!
T'ANKS BOYZ!

I would stay a little longer, you can always grab your bike and hop a plane over here for a visit and ride some eastcoast. Give it some time, but if you are really unhappy, your the only one that knows what to do about that. Don't you have family over there? Why not try and ask them about it, but in the end only Huck knows what Huck is gonna hucking do.

Ya, dude, if you're working and got a plcae to stay, give it a year out there. You snowboard, right? This is your chance to ride real mountains with real snow.

Damn Dirtbag....you hit the nail on the head..... I feel like that when I am in the city, then when I am out in Oregon where I grew up, I love it for about 3 days...then want to come back to Brooklyn. Guess ya just need to find the ideal mix of the two....
