Yea I know it's already developed, but I don't think oil is pushing it back. In fact, it would push it foward, with all these rising prices. If a company comes out with a successful hydrogen sedan, they'll make a ridiculous amount of money. And as demand for oil goes down, so would the price of it.

you said it. IF a company CAME out with an H car, they would get a huge slice of the market right away. but god bless the USA energy distribution is centralized in 'good hands' not to let such a nonsense happen..

It would be amazing if hydrogen cars came out but two big thing holding it bac
First, BUSH loves his oil way to much to let it happen plus he can't spell enviornment let alone try to help it

Second, while they are able to produce H turning it out on a large enough scale isn't possible yet.

What many people including myself thought is that oil is all about making gas for cars. However besides heating homes a huge part of the oil consumed world wide goes into production of plastic and other materials so a couple of fuel cell cars is not going to make a difference.

Textile and Fuel industries have ensured the taboo against marijuana/hemp keeps us from making high quyality cheap clothes, food and fuel.

Powerful people convince stupid people that good stuff is bad or vice versa, next you have oil wars and GW gets reelected.

Politics are all based off of self-interest.  It is very rare that you see something done in the government for the good of the people.  Even when the politician and mass media says it is for the good of the people, you can pretty much guarantee that the pol gets something out of the deal.  The Bush family is so tied into the oil business, that they are not willing to even explore the possibilities of an alternative fuel automobile.  The technology is there, but the "big three" and the oil cartels are so into each others pockets, that they can't see their way to doing something good for the people of this country.
Article in the paper yesterday:"Are rising oil prices driving down the sales of SUV's?" Lets all hope so.

They would never let it work.

Just like the electric car gets no marketing.

The only time I see the electric car on the road is if it is used by some government officiial office.

They know wassup.
