Whiteface 5K race, I need a Ride !!!
I'm looking for a ride to lake placid/whiteface for the 5K downhill event this weekend.

Just so you know...ADK trailways bus service will take you and a bike up to 65lbs with the front wheel off leaving from white plains @ 8:30 I think dauly for something like $65 one way, double for return.  Wish i knew earlier sorry, I qwould have taken the trip with.  Let me know if you got up there...I worked at the mt. last year.  Good runs, Fo Sho! does that take u directly to the mountain? I think it'll drop u at a bus stop which will be pretty far from resort! I read once there's a private local who runs a shuttle but u need to let the outfir in advance.

The bus drops you off right at the olypic center.  Get ahold of Downhillmike, he should be able to help you get where you need to go from there.  Its really only a 15 minute car ride to the mt from town and you shouldn't have a problem thumbing it if you pack light.  there are camps near the mt. as well as lodging.
