NEW DUAL SLALOM COURSE AT PLATTEKILL

Plattekill Mountain, home of the "EXTREME MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE SERIES", is stepping it up again with the completion of their all NEW DUAL SLALOM course. Designed and built by Tom Oakes the course offers a mix of traditional gated dual slalom blending into a dual course ala the old UCI dual courses. It promises to be a fast course with great racing action! Thanks to FREERIDESOUTH.COM for their generous contribution which helped make this course possible!
Cash prizes will be given in Pro/Expert classes and product prizes in other categories based on the number of participants. Gerald Browne , owner of RACER'S EDGE CYCLE & FITNESS NYC, is stepping it up and will be contributing product prizes such as Azonic helmets, 661 protective gear, fox gloves/jerseys, wheels and other great products!

Races scheduled for October 14 and November 4 have been added to the official 'Plattekill Series' race line-up, however all are welcome to tryout the new course this Saturday, Oct 7 when Plattekill hosts a collegiate NCCA ECCC Collegiate event featuring DS in addition to DH and XC.
Plattekill Mountain is located just under 3 hours north of New York City off of New York State Thruway exit 19(Kingston). There are over 60 miles of trails for Downhill, Freeride and Cross country mountain biking for all levels of riders. Free guided tours and instruction are available by calling the office during business hours. The Plattekill Demo shop features the best full suspension bikes in the business made by Turner Cycles and built with Fox Racing Shox and Magura hydraulic Disc Brakes. Plattekill Mountain features the largest race series in the east and the longest season in the country operating from April to November for the past 12 years.
