Posted up the last work day here, but didn't get any BBR guys out for it. Would be good to get some BBR representation out for building legal trails in Manhattan. We've been making good progress and have one beginner loop, one expert loop, half of a second beginner loop and a half of an intermediate loop finished. We've got to hit it hard and get a lot of work done this month so we can open this fall. Trails are looking good- mix of fast and swoopy (with nice little spots for airing it out if you hit it right), tight and technical, and even a few drops. Haven't started on the freeride lines yet, but hey- if enough people come out, we can get to work on 'em.

This one is being sponsored by NYC Velo, located on 2nd Ave between 3rd and 4th Street ( http://www.nycvelo.com ), and they'll be providing snacks, drinks and lunch for alll volunteers.

Details:

Trailbuilding at Highbridge, Sunday August 20th
9:00 am - 2 pm
Meet at the Dyckman rest on the corner of Dyckman & Ft George Hill
Drinks and snack provided
Wear pants and long sleeves to protect from poison ivy
Light rain doesn't cancel.
Easily accessible via the 1 and A trains in Northern Manhattan.

So far Ive got two volunteers for Sunday. Still would like to get a few more volunteers out. We will work till 1pm or so. If we get lots of volunteers out we should be able to complete this trail and make it much more enjoyable to ride. thanks
