New from profile, looks like the same idea as the tree sprocket.

New product from PROFILE. A spline-drive sprocket designed to work on any 48-spline 19mm spindle. No need for drive side specific crank arms anymore! Also for the weight watchers, you will lose the weight of a crank boss and a gear bolt. Features: 7075 aluminum, detailed machining on both sides with radius edges for smooth look | reversible steel insert for spline drive allows for chain line adjusting options

yes spline drive sprockets are a great product.  demolition will have one coming out too but i doubt in as many sizes as tree and profile.  the steel insert kinda negates the weight you save on the sprocket bolt.  still a slick lil part though.  no boss profile arms and a spline drive would be smoooooth.

How heavy is the new steel insert  ,compared to a regular axle adapter.  We really are a bunch of weight weenies but at least we're hucking big on our bikes instead of shedding grams for frivolous road b.s.  

Yo Fool that sucks about the job,  do you have any other options.   Who is hiring now, every company in the country is down sizing or going out of business.   I wonder what McCain would have done with our economy.  Obama is too busy hooking Tiger Woods up with his old shorties to worry about us. Holarations  check out the new thingny I can't afford but want desperately to shave more weight.  Saves 6.4 ozs over steel and 1.85 ozs over the old ti.

15off code will save you 20 bucks

strip the powdercoat off you frame to save a few oz's  Grin Cheesy  i don't think you'll notice weight savings from the center of your bike.  i went from a ti fsa spindle to the steel GDH and hadn't noticed much.

Thanks... Ya I here ya, the hard tail is all set with weight,  only the dh bike to worry about and I doubt they make the ti gdh spindle long enough for it.  I only replace those spindles after the teeth get soo damaged the crank arms get play in them.  Hollow axles look soo sweet though.  I really like the ODYSSEY TWOMBOLT design, if they could only make it weigh less.

haha i'm bad for your bank account.  looks like they have the 6" ti GDH available.  is that long enough for DH bikes?

That will fit most setups.  I've tried a 6" on my link bike and it works ,but you really need a 6.5"-6.75" specially in the ti department.  I've snapped a couple axles back in the day, no fun.  I'm also not gapping 15 stairs to flat like an idiot any more so the 6" might work. Thanks for the heads up.

the long ones coming off close to the center of the v-drive plate to the stringers,not the angles thats bolt to the end of the plate.
