I doubt anyone on here knows anything about snowshoeing but you never know right. I'm looking into getting a pair for next season to reach a couple peaks I was checking out this year. I only weigh 155 and would have a 25lbs pack on. Supposedly the MSR shoes are very compadible with large ski or board boots. Does anyone have any experience with any type of snowshoes? I've never even had a pair on so it's new to me. I'm really looking at Slide Mountain on rt 28 in the catskills. It's the highest peak in the park at 4200 and could potentially offer 3000+ foot vertical drop. There are longer shoes out there but these sound better for tight technical east coast trails and steep inclines. Also have opptional floatation tails to extend the back for deep snow or heavy peeps.
