Yooo the brooklyn ikea is the shit, and the surrounding streets have tons of features.  I smashed that whole area yesterday then was just cruising around a saw that pump track like a mirage in the desert.  I didn't know all the ikeas had that.  I'm going to mt. snow from tues-friday.  This weekend or next week we're definately setting up a redhook huck session.  There's a big huck on the entrance to Ikea, and you could spend alot of time on the pump track, soo much fun. There's also a big high speed loading dock gap right there next to the wall ride block.

I'm always riding in redhook.  Post up whenever you guys want to come out.   Everything is ridable at night time also.  I should be down for a sayreville/dj trip next week on tuesday or thursday.

You guys need to make your way to the piers. Specially by Fairway.

Last summer...

And the best part is there's a water taxi  from Ikea to South street seaport every 30 minutes from 10am to 10pm. And they take bikes. Ikea/Banks night?

Ya!  I didn't even think of that but the taxi is right there next to the pump track.  Let's do that soon, or after this snow melts that we're getting saturday.  You guys really need to stand up in the pump track.   Tongue Roll Eyes  I can't believe that was there this summer.  Do you have any idea how many times I rode right pass there while they were building Ikea and missed it?

ps.  you can ride those things in the rain also.  snow?Huh

They made it very difficult to gap. You need mucho speed and boost to gap going straight, but I've transfered side to side all over the place.  Just don't try gapping in the rain like I did...!!!  I forgot to mention there are like 20 metal grind boxes and another 15 wooden ledges to grind on if your into that.  It's really 20" paradise there ,but alot of fun on the 24's,26's  also.

just hit that ikea spot tonight for a bit.  wasn't planned but i had the bmx in my car so wth!.  took a trip over there w/ my girl and rode for a lil while.  definitely fun and fast, transfers are sweet too.  a few kids on skateboards where riding them.  i saw the metal benches that are perfect to grind. you can literally park your car right next to the rollers and session.  ikea/banks sessions sound like fun now that i don't have to park in manhattan now.

Yo,,,, we need to build a ramp at the end of the pier gapping on to that busted up barge.  You can pick up soo much speed then have nowhere to go at the end. There's parking at the banks after 7 pm for free, but Ikea is the move if your in bk.  I'm at ikea every day this week. Grin still haven't spent a dollar.

Ya it's worth it, and they never seem to be covered with snow.  I finally started gapping going straight at the end ,on the way towards the parking lot.  Pretty good sized gap but you better go straight!  There's also a bunch of large drops facing the parking lot on these huge concrete blocks. There's a good tranny if you hip to the side, very technical.
