Can someone please confirm with 100% certainty that the trails are there, and will be there. I'd love to ride them again if even once.  Sad

I drive past the trails everyday.  I live right up the hill from them.  I haven't read anything in the local paper - and I find it really hard to believe they would build a car dealership there for a few reasons.

1.  Lot:  is not wide enough for a dealership with White Castle to the left and a shipping center to the right.  There is a main drainage pipe that leads to a huge crevase back there - I don't think they would take the time and money to fill it and reroute.

2.  U-turn: the front of the trails and at a main Route 17 u-turn.  If development were to occur, they would have to take that u-turn out which is BIG LOCAL NEWS.  (in a small town like that, a dead racoon is big news, so imagine a new traffic pattern.)  It would be splatterred all over the paper.

3.  Those trails have been there since bike jumping became a sport ala old school BMX.  The Whitecastle trails are named after the building on that adjacent lot...they have had 3 names already.

The land has been there for a long time because of the issues I stated above.  If I'm wrong, you guys better get there ASAP - but if I were you, I'd take you're time.

The trails are 100% there.
I'm 90% sure they aren't going anywhere.
I know I'll be there when my new ride arrives...

-I

DIRECTIONS:
From Lincoln Tunnel
- Route 3 west to 17 north
- Stay on 17 North until you see an Exxon on your right (you will see Whitecastle accross the highway)
- Take the U-turn at the Exxon and enter the lot.  The trails are in the woods behind the Whitecastle lot.

From GW
- Take 80 west (local)
- Exit at the Hackensack - Route 17 SOUTH exit
- Stay on Route 17 until the Whitecastle is on your right - you will go through 3 lights on the highway

DON'T SPEED - COPS OUT THERE ARE ASSHOLES...TRUST ME.

Actually went back there yesterday.  The jumps are snow covered, but there.  Interestingly enough, my wife read in the local paper that there was an ordinance to curb new businesses on Route 17 - particularly...you guessed it - car dealerships.  This is construction going on in the area, but on the opposite side of Houlihans and  nowhere near the jumps.

See you guys there soon - Juanjo, Fool and Shinone saw me almost kill myself there, so I plan to be a little better next time we meet.
