What do you guys know/think about this frame.?? 6.75" travel all mountain bike with fancy vp like linkage. Lots of moving parts to break, but very cheap for frame only. Also has pretty compact wheelbase and top tube for good manuevering. Supposedly light weight, not sure of exact weight yet. I'm lookin for a replacement frame for my damaged Kona Coiler, x-country/freeride style.

Ohhh now I'm a soft rider... I grabbed one of these, should have it next week. Cheeap! and Giant has excellent warranty dept. compared to Kona douchebag's. You know I'm casing something right onto the shock sticking out on the down tube.

The frame is dope, was looking at that frame couple months back. I'd say Fuck it and get it, better than the Glory which is the DH version but i like this better. I seen lenosky riding that at Diablo couple of times...

My buddy Simon almost pulled the trigger on one back in September, but ended up scoring an SX Trail because they were available sooner (and he needed a bike for one of our road trips). Love the top tube-seatstay line...

I can't believe I just bought a frame before ever seeing one in person. I never even heard of this frame until 2 days ago.. I must be real piff'd. It appears to be lighter(32lbs.) and slightly more compact than my Kona so it should work out fine. If not it's all your fault. This bike will never see Plattikill or Diablo. Only sloperide freestyle corses like Piff Park, Central Piff park, etc.

Just my 2c Supposedly the standover is 2.5 inches lower on the Reign X frame than the Kona. For some reason Giant made the complete production bike bigger than the frame only option. My frame has shorter wheelbase, top tube, chainstay, lower BB and steeper head angle compared to the complete. I ordered a small also, so it should be pretty low in the back. example of last years Reign with a similar build.

Looks like that giant needs a smoller travel fork, that angle tells me if u go big u'll snap the headtube.

I planned on it being slightly lower than the Kona, which was almost perect. If it's too high I'll get the hacksaw out..

Ohhhh this frame is the shit!!!!!! Much lower in the back than the Kona, and shorter top tube means less back pain. Wheelbase is .25" longer for some reason  the website said 43" with a 150mm fork and mine is 44". Pretty long for urban but perfect for Park Slopestyle. B) It pedals way better than the Kona also. Weighs 34 lbs ,exactly same as Kona with extra 1.5" of travel(frame weighed 8lbs.). I'll post some pics and ride review after the first test ride today.

The frame was amazing on everything until the 5.0 in the Explorer chased us out of there. Did I mention it pedals very well. Still braking in the rear shock but it handled everything better than the Kona immediately out the box.

Hope to catch you in Piff Park soon. I'll be home through New Year's and could use the distraction.
