If anyone couldn't make the IMBA trail care seminar yesterday, but would still like to come out and dig in Cunningham Park, Queens, we could use the help today (Sunday, May 5).  It's not just XC stuff- we're working on a nice jump line with some 3' tables and  some nice bermed turns. All legit as part of the new legal trails in Cunningham park.

Jim Dellavalle came out today and pitched in with some design/build help. I think he's planning on coming back tomorrow.

Here's a google map of the trailhead. Work runs 9am-1pm...

A pic of some of the work today:

I know Cunningham pretty welll..Where are you guys building?...Any of that near the greenbelt trail by Union Turnpike?...Theres a huge bowl i use to jump into riding fast from the sreet...It was one of those cul-de-sac streets with an entrance to the park. Was a good 8" if your fast enough with a huge rock in the middle of the tranny you need to avoid...

We're in the north woods section, trailhead is the corner of Horace Harding and Oceania. I've heard about, but not seen, the bowl you're talking about. I believe we may be able to build something in there in the next phase...
