From my original post on NYCMTB.com:

Come out and help make trails in Manhattan a reality on Sunday, July 23rd as we get together for another round of trail-building at Highbridge Park. Meet at 9 am at the Dyckman Rest area (on the corner of Dyckman Street and Ft. George Hill, across from the 1 train station at Dyckman St), and look for the NYCMTB banner. We'll be continuing the work performed by the volunteers from JP Morgan and Outward Bound while focusing on some technical trails.

This event is being sponsored by Sid's Bikes (235 East 34th Street between 2nd and 3rd Aves, http://www.sidsbikes.com ), who will provide drinks and lunch for all volunteers. Work should wrap-up with lunch around 1 PM.

Light rain does not cancel.

Looks like no rain for tomorrow's work day, so it should be good. C'mon out guys- we need all the help we can get, as it looks like no more Outward Bound/JP Morgan volunteers (lets just say that Highbridge was a little too "raw" for them). We'll be building XC trails tomorrow and we could even start one of the freeride lines if there's interest.

You don't need to bring any tools- we've got plenty. And Chris Skolnick will be there for Sids Bikes, buying lunch for everyone (thanks, Sids!). We've got plenty of drinks and snacks.

9 am, corner of Dyckman and Ft. George Hill, right across from the 1 train stop. If you show up late and are looking for us, you can hit me on the cell- 917-478-422eight...
