Gerald's the bomb.

Only other shop that gets love is my #1 : Tread Bike Shop - 250 Dyckman Street - Manhattan (~200th street)

212-544-7055 - Owner is Ozzie; very cool.  Primo shop, but not the same high end inventory as Gerald whose only competition in that respect is an unmentionable poopden of a shop that some here frequent but should more likely pee on....

There really is no competition in nyc bike shops.  The numbers don't lie. Bayridge Bike World is a great shop if your in Brooklyn.  Just don't act all cheap and ignorant there and you'll get great prices on everything. Definately don't want to start this which shop is the best controversy again.  It's good to have many options.

If you're here to stay hit me up if you wanna go riding (street). If you wanna ride DH you should talk to Claus (cbj @ dhmtbk.dk). We're both Danish and we both live in Brooklyn...

Velkommen til... ;-)

FYI - and also not trying to revive a flaming thread, but the issues with BRB had nothing to do with favored or who is the best.

Major legitimate issues that were ignored throughout the 'discussion'.  I am still flabergasted that what was a discussion was quashed, and that people were not hearing what was clearly said.

Despite good prices and inventory, I would never recommend that shop to anyone.

Now thats certainly subjective, but objectively speaking - No competition? For inventory yes, for price and service no way.
