PLATTEKILL PREPARES FOR JR-X WORLDS QUALIFIER AND FIRST RACE OF THE SEASON

Over 45 riders showed up mid-April from as far away as Canada to clear trails and build the courses for the first race of the season this Sunday May 4 at Plattekill Mountain in Roxbury, NY.  This weekend's race will be the first in Plattekill's 7-race series for 2008 and serve as the automatic qualifier for juniors to the USAC World’s Team. Top juniors from thru out the United States will challenge the steep terrain and big drops at the mountain.

Plattekill is entering their 14th season offering lift served mountain biking and racing.  A pioneer in the mountain bike race arena, Plattekill continues to offer exciting new terrain and courses with each race event.

Pre-race registration open until Thursday noon.  PRE REGISTER  and SAVE TIME and MONEY!  Pre-reg entry $60, onsite entry $65 (same as last year) and a special discounted 'Beginner Class' race entry of just $40.  This includes race entry and 2-day lift ticket.  Onsite registration open Saturday 9am-1pm, Sunday 8am-noon.

Great start to what promises to be an awesome series of racing at Plattekill Bike Park in 2008 with upcoming events including the World Junior X qualifier this weekend, Gravity East Series event in July, Gravity East finals in October, 6-race Plattekill Extreme Downhill Series, 5-race Racer's Edge NYS Dual Slalom Series and NYS 6-hour endurance race in June!
