The Wolfe's Pond Park trails officially opened this past Saturday to mountain biking. After 6 years of pushing for it, mtb advocate Matt Lebow finally realized his dream of legal mountain biking on Staten Island. I've been working with him pretty intensely over the past year since Highbridge opened and am really excited to see this finally happen.

Wolfe's Pond Park is the site of the Shaolin jumps. Charlie, Greg and some others have already been pressed into service to help out, but we're working on a larger plan to re-build the jumps as tables, build a pump track and turn the park into a legal dirt jump park. Best of all, State Senator Lanza has promised funds to make it happen. As he said Saturday, he's excited about finally being able to "get the money flowing."

More good stuff is happening on SI. Check out the existing trails when you get a chance, and stay tuned for more info about building the jump park this fall...

I told you's guys to make a warm-up table line at shaolin!!.  They even mashed up the warm up line that Global and I built in shaolin, to keep noobs out.  Now they're all going to be tables Cry  Look out for the engine and refrigerator in the takeoffs on the middle "drug run"!!

And all the raking of the leaves in our digging pits, which we then had to undo

motos would hit it and make hella noise and piss off the houses right near there and get the place shut down (happened at the mount loretto trails)

Groms would go there, trash the place, fill in the gaps, and leave garbage a fires everywhere
those were our motives, to protect
